I started my Tuesday off by having a delicious breakfast. When B and I went to the supermarket on Monday night I noticed that all of the berries were reasonably priced, so I got myself some strawberries, raspberries and blueberries. They were so delicious with my breakfast!!
At the moment I am trying to get my house back in order (I let all the housework go since I went to Western Australia). So that I don't get overwhelmed with everything, I try to focus on one room each day, along with general house chores, such as dishes, tidying the kitchen, etc. Yesterday was time to clean the ensuite in our bedroom. Huge task but I finally did it. I threw away all of the junk (hair products and body products) that I had been storing in the cupboard, and just gave everything a real good clean. I feel so good as I have a nice, clean bathroom now.
My lunch consisted of a delicious turkey, spinach, tomato and Swiss cheese wrap. I also had a Chobani yoghurt. I love the little squeezable packets. It makes them so much easier to eat and the yoghurt is nice and smooth.
It was a beautiful day in Melbourne and my cats have cabin fever at the moment (they are indoor cats and they spend ages scratching at the door each day), so we all had sat outside for a bit. I read the December issue of Women's Health (I am a bit behind) and my cats ate grass. We were all happy!
|Sorry for my scabby legs, missing toe nails and chipped nail polish!|
I decided to take the opportunity to go to the gym as I had a bit of spare time. I've joined a new gym, which I am not 100% happy about. My old gym was lovely, but it was really expensive. I don't like my new gym as much as the equipment is old (it only opened a few weeks ago) and the gym is always hot. It is like a sauna! It is going to be crazy hot in there when it is 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit) outside!
But I managed to do 45 minutes on the cross trainer (I tried to read at the same time but it didn't work) and then cooled down with a 5 minute walk. I burnt 550 calories and I felt really good (although I was very hot and sweaty). I also watched the cricket whilst I worked out. Strangely, I found it interesting and enjoyed watching it.
I was then off to my counselling session, which was really good. I came home and I decorated the house with all of our Christmas decorations, which really put me in a good mood. B was really happy when he came home too!
|Yeah, I put this photo in again as I really like my tree.|
B and I then headed off to the shops as it was time to finally do some Christmas shopping! We had Salsas for dinner, which has to be one of my most favourite foods to eat in a food court ever! I love Mexican food and their burritos are delicious. And so are the chips, which have a barbecue seasoning. My burrito had chicken, grilled capsicum, onion and rice. Mmmmmm!!
And we also brought a lot of Christmas presents!!
We still have a few more Christmas presents to buy, so I can't wrap them all up yet. I cannot wait to put them under my twig Christmas Tree!!
