I got my second pair of Nike Frees when B and I went on our honeymoon last year. I'd had a pair many years ago when I worked at Foot Locker when they were first released. I thought that they were okay, but really I wasn't a fan. I ended up getting my second pair in Hawaii because B had some and I wanted them too (we have to be the same). I think I have worn them a handful of times. That being said, my Nike Frees were definitely super comfortable for lifting weights as they are so light on my feet. And they keep my feet cool too.
Thursday's weights session was Back, Triceps and Abs. As I've mentioned before, I struggle with weights on Thursday as my back muscles seem to be very weak. I did however manage to do assisted chin-ups with a weight of 36kg. Although each set consisted of between 8-10 reps, I was really proud of my achievement.
My workout also stated that I had to do 12 minutes of running as a final blast. As I'm trying to hold off running until Sunday, I did 6 minutes of the rowing machine. I really enjoyed myself and I ended up burning a massive 495 calories! That is huge for a weights session.
I also tried a new protein shake for my breakfast. This one was a MyoFusion Probiotic Series Strawberries and Cream. It has a whopping 48g of protein per serve. And it only contains 120 calories (or about that). Fantastic!

I had it with my usual banana, frozen raspberries and milk. It was of a very thick consistency and did kinda smell like medicine (I didn't notice until B told me), but it tasted okay. I'm hoping that the serving of 48g of protein will help me get some bicep muscles soon.
We had a visitor at work on Thursday. Yup! That's a bunny! He was so cute! I got to feed him a carrot, which was one of the cutest things I have ever seen. He likes to put his paw on your fingers as he eats the carrot.
My lunch was a chicken, apple and celery wrap. I would have to say that I was a little apprehensive about eating this lunch. I am a firm believer that meat, vegetables and fruit do not belong in the same meal. But it was so delicious!! And I had so many comments from people at work about how good it looked.
That evening I dragged B to the shops as I decided that I wanted to buy a new pair of runners. I've decided that I need a new pair of shoes as hopefully that will help my IT Band get better. A lot of the ladies in the blogs that I have been reading seem to wear Brooks from the Pure Project range, so I thought I would give them a go too. I got the Pure Cadence 2, which even though they aren't the type of colour that I would normally go for (I love my shoes bright and loud!), they are pretty cool. I should be able to let you know how I go running in them next week. I am so excited to run in them!!

On Friday morning I didn't go to the gym as I'd had a really late night and was a bit tired. Work was good, although it was a bit of an eating day. Fridays always mean morning tea, which was nice as it was a spread of healthy and unhealthy food. I had lunch with a few of my friends and it was lovely to catch up with them.
In the afternoon we had an afternoon tea with all of the people from work who are doing Run 4 The Kids. I have been feeling really nervous about the run as I am worried about how my knee and IT Band will hold out, but the catch-up made me feel a little better. I think that my IT Band is not so agrivated at the moment, so hopefully I will be able to run the 15km in the time I have in mind. I've also got a couple of friends to run with, which I am excited about.
In the evening my sister in-law Loz and her fiance Matt came over for dinner. It was nice to catch up with them and chat about all sorts of things.
